Climate change is one of the most pressing challenges of our time. As a company, we recognize our responsibility—not only to our consumers, but also to the communities we serve and the planet we share.
We are committed to making breakfast better while driving meaningful, positive impact in the world around us. To help build a more sustainable future, we pledge to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. Along the way, we will report transparently on our progress, actions, and milestones.
## NET ZERO BY 2050
In our journey toward a more sustainable future, we believe that credible action starts with credible data. That’s why we partnered with independent environmental consultancy Quantis to conduct a comprehensive audit of our greenhouse gas emissions. Using 2018 as our baseline year, this large-scale assessment enabled us to identify where we could accelerate progress and introduce new initiatives to reduce our carbon footprint.

While we’ve made strong progress in recent years, reaching net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 will require bold changes to how we operate. This is not just a goal—it’s a transformation.
We’ve developed a detailed roadmap to guide our journey, outlining the actions we must take and the milestones we aim to reach. As we move forward, we remain committed to closing the gaps and continuously improving our approach.

## SOURCING
**Regenerative Agriculture**
**OUR PROMISE:**
Source 13% of our cereal and grains from farmers adopting regenerative agriculture practices by 2025 and 50% by 2030.
**OUR PROGRESS:**
We’ve successfully launched regenerative agriculture programs in five countries: France, Poland, the UK, Mexico, and Australia - and achieved our 2025 target. In each location, we collaborate closely with local farmers, providing both financial and technical support to help them transition toward regenerative practices. We’re currently working to expand these efforts into additional markets.

**Nestlé Cocoa Plan**
**OUR PROMISE:**
Source all of our cocoa through the Nestlé Cocoa Plan by 2025.
Ensure deforestation-free and Rainforest Alliance certified Cocoa.

## PACKAGING
**OUR PROMISE:**
By 2025, we commit to designing our packaging to be recyclable wherever relevant. In markets lacking adequate recycling infrastructure, we will actively participate in plastic collection programs to help close the loop.
**OUR PROGRESS:**
Today, 98% of our packaging is designed for recycling. We are working closely with our R&D teams to identify and develop alternatives for the remaining materials. In parallel, we are preparing to join plastic collection initiatives in regions where recycling systems are still underdeveloped.
## MANUFACTURING
**OUR PROMISE:**
We will switch to 100% renewable purchased electricity across all our sites by 2025.
**OUR PROGRESS:**
We’ve made significant strides in recent years—100% of the electricity we purchase now comes from renewable sources. In addition, we continue to focus on reducing energy consumption across all our sites, driving efficiency and supporting our broader sustainability goals
## LOGISTICS
**OUR PROMISE:**
Switch to 100% electrical shuttles across all our core production sites by 2025.
**OUR PROGRESS:**
We’ve already introduced electric shuttles to transport products from our factories to distribution centers in Bromborough (UK), Staverton (UK), and Rumilly (France).
Our Polish sites (factories and distribution center) are set to follow by the end of 2025.
In parallel, we are continuously optimizing our logistics setup to further reduce emissions and improve overall efficiency across our supply chain.
## BETTER PLANET PROMISE
While we’ve already made meaningful progress—such as sourcing 100% of our purchased electricity from renewable sources—reaching carbon net-zero emissions will require fundamental changes in how we operate.
We’ve developed a draft roadmap to guide our transition. It’s a living document that will continue to evolve as we identify new opportunities, close existing gaps, and adapt to emerging technologies and insights. The journey is complex, but we’re fully committed to making it happen.
