What advice would you give to someone looking to get their morning routines back on track?

"My advice to someone looking to get their morning routine back on track is to add in something that you are looking forward to.

Whether it’s a bowl of your favourite cereal, or taking the dog for a walk before work, adding something that you want to do can help motivate you to get up and start the day."

How do you stay motivated during the winter?

"I stay motivated on winter days when it’s dark and grey by remembering that these harder sessions are what make the brilliant moments possible. Plus, I look forward to going back to bed when I’m finished!"

What is best breakfast for your morning routine?

"In my opinion, the best breakfast for my morning routine is a tasty bowl of Cheerios with my favourite fruity toppings. I am not a morning person, so I need something quick and easy and isn’t going to sit too heavy on my stomach when I’m in the race chair. That’s why I reach for a bowl of Cheerios and away I go!"

How do you maintain an active lifestyle?

"I maintain an active lifestyle by doing activities that I enjoy, by holding myself accountable and meeting up with friends because exercise is always more fun when you do it with other people."

How do you balance your life around such a busy routine?

"Balance in life when you have a busy routine can be difficult. I make a lot of lists, so I don’t forget anything. I plan my days out by making sure that I meet up with people or that there’s someone who will hold me accountable for where I need to be. Finally, I try not to cram too much into one day. There are seven days in a week, so try to use all of them."

What are the best, easy exercises for busy mornings?

"The best, easy exercises for busy mornings are the ones that you can get on with at home with no equipment needed. Think sit ups, push ups, squats, lunges and planks, anything that gets you active and going for the day ahead."

What does it mean to you to be a Paralympic athlete?

"To me, being a Paralympic athlete means everything. It means that hard work does pay off and dreams can come true. It also means I get to be part of the best team!"

How are you preparing yourself ahead of a big year in 2024?

"I’m preparing for a big year ahead in 2024 by making sure that I leave no stone unturned. By making sure that I eat a balanced diet, that I sleep well and that my body is well-rested and well-recovered to aid my training as much as possible."
