Ingredients

  • 150 g NESTLÉ® GOLD™ CORN FLAKES
  • 50 g Butter
  • 200 g Margarine
  • 125 g Powdered Sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • 325 g Flour
  • 35 g Cornstarch
  • 1 Egg White

Preparation

Date paste: Mix dates and full cream milk. Heat it up until it forms paste-like consistency.

Beat butter, margarine and powdered sugar until light and fluffy. Add in eggs and mix well.

Sieve in flour and cornstarch in batches and mix well until a soft dough is formed.

Shape one teaspoon of the dough mixture into a ball and form an indentation in the middle of the cookie using your thumb.

Fill each indentation with date paste and coat each side of the cookies with NESTLÉ® GOLD™ CORN FLAKES pieces.

Coat egg white on top of each cookie with a brush.

Bake in a preheated oven at 150°C for 30 minutes or until the cookies are lightly browned. Cool for 20 minutes. Put aside and let them cool for 20 minutes. Store it in an airtight container.
