How are Shreddies® made?
First, wheat grains are milled to release the flour while keeping all parts of the whole grain, ensuring that the nutritious qualities are retained. The wheat is then batch-cooked with water, malt, and other tasty ingredients to create a flavourful dough.
Next, the dough is cured to develop its flavour further before being passed through four sets of shredding rolls, creating the signature four layered lattice! The dough is then cut into squares, specifically designed to capture the delicious taste and satisfying crunch.
Finally, the Shreddies are toasted to greation. This process enhances the flavour and provides Shreddies with their distinctive crunchy texture.
