2. Delightful chocolate waffles

5. Overnight cereal oats

This is a great Mother’s Day breakfast that can be prepared the night before, so you can focus on making the morning as special as possible. Overnight oats are velvety smooth and what makes these overnight cereal oats even more special is that they contain the nation’s favourite little O’s, Cheerios® Honey.  

They are incredibly easy to make, just simply add all the ingredients into a blender and process them until smooth. Add a little drizzle of honey for a little extra sweetness if needed. 

Then transfer the combined ingredients into a glass jar with an extra sprinkle of Cheerios® on top for an added crunch. Pop in the fridge and serve with a freshly brewed cup of tea or coffee in the morning!

Vegan Mother's Day breakfast ideas

If your Mum follows a plant-based diet or fancies something different, these vegan breakfast ideas are a great breakfast option for Mother’s Day.

 

6. Homemade acai bowl

Impress Mum this Mother’s Day with a picture-perfect breakfast bowl. By prepping the night before, an acai bowl is surprisingly quick and simple to make.

7. Vegan breakfast bars

These vegan bars are tasty and full of fruity flavours. They’re also easy to make for Mother’s Day breakfast too. All you need is some orange or apple juice, jumbo rolled oats, crumbled Shredded Wheat Original® biscuit, hazelnuts & almonds, dried apricots, raisins, and some sunflower seeds.  

Once made, these can be stored in an airtight container and enjoyed a little while longer as a mid-morning snack.

Gluten-free Mother’s Day breakfast ideas

We also have Mother’s Day recipes for those Mums who follow a gluten-free diet. It can be tricky to find interesting and tasty Mother’s Day breakfast ideas that are also gluten-free. So, we’ve listed some of our favourites below.

8. Gluten-free berry oatmeal muesli 

Set your Mum's morning off right with our homemade gluten-free muesli. This is a breakfast that will need to be prepared the night before. Simply heat the oven and spread some walnuts, Go Free® Gluten Free Honey Nut Corn Flakes, or plain Cornflakes cereal, and oats onto a baking tray. Then, in a small bowl mix some honey and buttery baking spread and then drizzle over your cereal mixture. 

Bake for 15 to 18 minutes and stir halfway through. Pop the muesli in a serving bowl with a good topping of fresh fruits and a drizzle of honey, and you have yourself some tasty berry oatmeal muesli!

9. Oat and carrot muffins

These muffins are a simple and sweet option for Mother’s Day breakfast.  Easy to make and quick to bake, you can substitute the cereal in our Shreddies® Oat and Carrot Muffins recipe for Multigrain Cheerios®.  

In a mixing bowl add your butter, melted buttery baking spread, lemon juice, and eggs, then combine. Set the mixture aside. In another mixing bowl, place your flour, crushed Cheerios®, baking powder, baking soda, salt, granulated sugar, and then combine. 

Add your wet ingredients to your dry until combined, the batter will be thick and soft. Gently fold the berries and the rest of the ingredients together. Once complete, spoon into your muffin tray, and bake for 10 minutes. 

Serve these tasty muffins with your Mum’s favourite juice, add a little flower to the tray too and carry it up for a special Mother's Day breakfast in bed!
